Larissa Martins has been an actuary at Milliman since 2023, more specifically in the Health Practice of the Rio de Janeiro team.
Experience
Larissa has over two years of actuarial experience in the supplementary healthcare area. Her acquired experience mainly includes analysis and review of analytical databases for definition of assumptions and subscriptions, calculation of annual risk pool adjustments for group plan contracts, analysis of financial guarantees, including calculation of technical provisions and risk-based capital, and development of tools to assist clients in the process of subscribing to new contracts.
Larissa is expanding her knowledge of the health market and its regulatory measures determined by the National Health Agency – ANS for customer assistance, assisting in the pricing of health plans in accordance with the norms and resolutions issued by the agency and in preparing technical notes.
Her most recent market study project includes the calculation of the 2024 estimate of Hospital Medical Variation in Individual/Family Plans Expenses and Individual/Family Contract Adjustment Index.
Larissa also has academic experience in statistics. Her last project was the presentation in the poster session at the XV Brazilian Meeting of Beysian Statistics in 2020.
