João’s experience includes pricing, rate setting, database analysis, claims monitoring and cost performance, technical notes, and reserves estimating. He is also versed in developing/upgrading systems used for underwriting (SAT) and Adjustment of Premium (SRCC). João estimates financial guarantees, performs database analyses, and works directly with customers to resolve issues.
During the last eight years, João has gained a strong understanding of the healthcare market and its governmental regulations enabling him to assist clients with complex needs.
His recent projects include developing and updating Brazil’s Health Cost Guidelines (HCGs), developing/upgrading systems used for Adjustment of Premium (SRCC), supporting new insurers entering the Brazilian supplementary healthcare market, performing liability adequacy testing, and M&A due diligence.
